I. Strengthen the construction of technological upgrading projects and seek benefits from science and technology. In response to the domestic demand for high-quality pre-baked anodes, in 2013, Fengyuan Carbon decided to invest RMB 320 million to establish a 200,000-ton energy-saving high-efficiency pre-baked anode production project. The project adopts the most advanced planning, design and production equipment in China, which achieves high start-point planning, and high-level construction, to build the new production line into a domestic first-class carbon production line with scientific ideology, advanced equipment, stable quality, standard environmental protection, and beautiful environment. The enclosed construction is adopted by the transportation and storage of all raw materials of the project, automation control is realized for molding production, and automatic temperature control is realized for burning procedure and baking procedure. The product quality is greatly improved, the energy consumption is greatly reduced, and the working environment is obviously improved. After the completion of the project, it can realizes an annual sales revenue of RMB 760 million, the profit will be RMB 64.56 million, the tax revenue will be RMB 52 million, and the increased employment opportunities will be more than 50, realizing an energy saving of 3,700 tons of standard coals, with obvious social and economic benefits.

II. Strengthen the construction of the enterprise's R&D Center and increase the enterprise's soft power. In 2012, the company's "Longshan" brand was recognized by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce as a "famous" brand, and became the first trademark that obtained such great honor for the aluminum carbon industry in China. According to the company's strategic goal of supporting enterprise development with technological innovation, the company established a Technology Center in 2007, to be engaged in technological innovation and technical R&D of the company. At present, Fengyuan has established a long-term cooperative relationship with the School of Metallurgical Materials and Engineering, Central South University, to carry out joint development and talent training, attract new technological achievements and high-level talents, and improve production elements such as technology, talent, etc. to participate in the distributed system, so as to greatly improve its own R&D and technology innovation capacity. Since its establishment, the technology center has completed more than 10 technological innovation projects, three of which have been included in the technological innovation project plan of the Provincial Committee of Economic and Information Technology. Accumulatively 10 patents for utility model, and 6 software copyrights have been applied, 1 invention patent has been applied and accepted, and 1 has been included into the 2012 Science and Technology Development Plan of Jinan Science & Technology Bureau.
